Introduction: Teemu Puumala

Hello everyone! I'm Teemu, a 33-year-old chemical engineering student from Centria University of Applied Sciences. This is my second year at Centria, and in 2 months I'm going to University of the Highlands and Islands in Inverness as exchange student. I have a bachelor's degree at chemistry from the University of Oulu, but this is my first time as exchange student. In Scotland I'm going to study environmental sciences, and I hope in future this gives me an advantage when I apply for supervisor jobs. In today's industrial work English skills are very important, because many companies have international customers and English will be needed every day. However, this is definitely not the only reason why I wait for my stay in Scotland very much: I really feel I have a priviledge to see one of the most beautiful places in the whole world and the Scottish culture.

Hi!

My name is Maija Kukkola and Im studying to be a nurse. This is my last year in my studies.
I live in Ylivieska

but I study in Kokkola. I am going on an internship in the northern countries.
Probably in Norway or Sweden. I am interested in learning other countries' healthcare systems.
I have former Bachelor's degree, but I have never been in exchange or internship. Now I have a great opportunity to start an internship abroad. I want to develop my language skills, learn more about myself and gain international expertise.
