Hi!

My name is Janette Niemelä, I study in Centria University of Applied Sciences, Kokkola. I'm a third year nurse student and I'm going to Portugal to do my internship this Spring. I'm going to be there for three months. I love travelling and what is a better way to see another country than going to an exchange.

I'm really excited to do my internship in Portugal. I chose that country because I've never been there before. The thought of spending summer there while everyone here in Finland are spending winter, is strange and amusing. I can't wait to develop my skills as a nurse, my English and to get to know another culture and people.

My name is Julia and I'm studying nursing in Centria. I'm going to do an internship in Belgium this spring. I have always loved travelling and going abroad is a great way to see Europe from different point of view.

I chose Belgium as my internship country because I love how it's located in Europe. If I have time and will, I can visit many interesting Europian countries during this spring. Okay, I have to admit that I have heard that Belgian chocolate is awesome and I love chocolate. Now I have three months to prove that wrong or right.

My name is Kyösti. I am going to do my work practise in Uganda. We are leaving 16.2.2019 and will be staying for 3 months over there.

I´m really excited for the opportunity to learn but also for the opportunity to have this experience with my student companions. I´m specially looking for an opportunity to learn how work itself differs from Finnish ways and about ingteraction between people over there. Are there any visible social classes etc.?

Hello.

My name is Niko Metsälä and I'm studying in Centria University of Applied Sciences , Kokkola. This is my third year of business studies and I am oriented to financial management.  I'm going to study abroad to Inholland University of Applied Sciences Rotterdam for the next spring semester. The semester starts there in 31th of January and ends on 5th of June. I'm allready waiting to going there, and get to meet amazing persons there. I hope that my spring semester will go as well as this fall semester. I hope that the blog I wrote in exchange for the text explains how profitable it is to go for an exchange to study if you have a opportunity to go.

I'm Anh Le, third year student at Centria. I'm studying Environmental Chemistry and Technology. I'm going for my exchange program at Siedcle University of Natural Science and Humanity. When applying for exchange program, i expect that i can experience different culture as well as study deeply about chemistry.

Introduction of Sofia

My name is Sofia Leinonen. I’m studying social work in Centria university of applied sciences in Ylivieska. I come from the city of Oulu, Finland. I’m applying as an exchange student to VIVES University of Applied Sciences in Kortrijk, Belgium.

I'm participating in S.P.A.C.E.-programme: Social Pedagogical Art & Creativity Exploration, which is a 5-month course for international students on art and creativity in social sector. The programme will include a mix of theory and practice, class work and individual work. I will explore artistic workshops for people with disabilities, socio-artistic practices in neigbourhoods and creative expression as an alternative way of communication.

I'm looking forward to gain new experiences on my field of study. I wish to to develop my skills combining creativity to social work. On my practical trainings I’ve worked with teenagers in a youth centre and socially challenged young adults in a workshop therapy. Therefore I have had a chance to utilize my creativity in my practical trainings and believe that time in student exchange would offer me new perspectives to social work.
